Bundaberg

Well we're in Bundaberg now, we did the bundy rum factory tour yesterday which was good.
After Cooktown we drove through the Daintree forest and it was beautiful! We had to cross the Bloomfield river when it was flowing pretty fast which was a bit scary.(See pics)
We stopped in Port Douglas for a couple of nights where we hired a pontoon and spent a day on the river didn't catch any fish but saw a huge Croc that went under the boat!!! No pics but we got it on video.
Will sign off for now and leave the pics to speak for themselves again.

Cape York

Hi everyone,
We're in Cooktown now, just noth of the Daintree. We had an absolute ball in Cape York and didn't want to leave. The weather turned pretty bad on our last two nights and we had torrential rain that soaked absolutely everything! But it was awesome to see how much rain they get up here! Thanks to friends of Nath's (Phil and Jen) we had an amazing time up there. We even had a swim in the Jardine river!!! Which is infested with salt water crocs!!! Sounds worse than it is but when your up here in this heat you have no choice but to swim!
So much to say but will let the photos speak for them selves instead.
Love to everyone xxx

We made it!

Well as the title suggests we made it through the Old Telegraph track!!! For those who dont know, it's a 156km 4wd only track that consists of numerous deep water crossings and some awesome 4wding...
We even made it through the infamous Gunshot and Nolan's creeks! Gunshot is notorious for wrecking peoples cars with its near verticle drops which put you straight into the muddy creek.
Nolan's creek is most notorious for "washing" peoples cars, with it's soggy bottom and deep desent it can be a hit or miss kinda thing. If you get stuck in the middle it's not long before water starts to steep into every crevace of your car. When we went through, the water came up over the bonnet and neither of us spoke until we made it across! Scary at the time but once we were clear we couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces! Nolan's was the last crossing on the OTL and we knew we had made it!
The track took us 5 days to complete camping on different creeks and rivers at night. The best place along the track was Elliot and twin falls, one of the only safe places to swim!
We are now at Seisia for a few days before we go and explore the Tip and the west coast. There is alot to see up here so best I get off here and get exploring well after I do our 6 loads of washing!!!
