We're back on the mainland again after a few awesome days at Fraser Island. It was absolutely beautiful. It's the largest sand Island in the world and it's 4wd only. It has ancient rainforests and the most amazing scenery.
We camped on the beach for 3 nights were Nath caught a decent sized flathead which we had for dinner and also a shark or sting-ray - It bit through the line before we could get a good look at it! Pretty sure it was a shark as we saw heaps of fins after that! Hence we didn't do any swimming in the ocean. I almost stood on a Death Adder snake!!! Luckily I saw it at the last second and managed to run backwards away from it. They are one of the most venomous snakes in Australia!!!
We only saw two dingos and on the last day we saw a non-venoumous carpet python, so plenty of wildlife!!!
We're off to Brisbane this morning to catch up with Beau and Shannon until monday then we head to Byron Bay and Coffs harbour. Will write again soon...
